Community Access Pass (CAP)

Established in 2014, the CAP program partners with local nonprofit organizations to distribute free annual Explorer Passes for historically underserved communities. Pass recipients receive general admission to 16 participating cultural institutions for a full year, with the flexibility to use the passes when most convenient for them. Pass distributions are available only through our nonprofit partner network. Interested nonprofits are invited to complete an application online, click here.

For more information contact us via email at cap@bpcp.org.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Balboa Park Explorer has a range of robust sponsorship opportunities, including marketing and recognition opportunities. In an effort to provide many businesses with the opportunity to support the Balboa Park Explorer, we also have a program for logo recognition just on Balboa Park Annual Explorer cards.

To find out more about this unique program, please email Kristen Mihalko, Director, Operations, at explorer@bpcp.org.

Balboa Park Explorer VIP Patrons

Balboa Park Explorer VIP Patrons help make it possible for the Explorer program to enhance our community outreach programs. For each VIP Patron Pass purchased, ten historically underserved families served by our Community Access Pass program, or ten active duty military families served by our Military Appreciation Pass program, will receive a Balboa Park Explorer Annual Family Pass.

Would you like to become a VIP Patron and receive permanent recognition of your support of this vital program? Please email Theresa Wulf, Director, Community Engagement, at theresa.wulf@bpcp.org.
