Notice of The City of San Diego's Implementation of Paid Parking
As a reminder, the City of San Diego will begin charging for parking in Balboa Park on January 5. We share your frustration about paid parking, and it is our goal to keep our Explorers informed about parking options when visiting in the new year so that you may continue to enjoy all that the Cultural Distict has to offer. Though we were unable to change the City policy, we continued to advocate in order to lessen the impact on employees, volunteers, and guests. Two of those successes can serve our Explorer Passholders:
- A parking area that will provide 3 hours of free parking
- An expanded tram service which will run every 10-15 minutes from 8am-8pm daily
